The purpose of the Public Works Department is to manage the maintenance and repair of the city’s right-of-way, public roadways, and bridges.  Public works staff is also responsible for facilities and management of capital projects, both in-house and contracted.  In addition, the public works team maintains all parks grounds, facilities and infrastructure.

 

For maintenance/repair requests, please call Darold Wendlandt.  In the case of an emergency roadway request, i.e. tree obstruction, please call 911.

Public Utilities

All encroachment of the city’s right-of-way for construction or maintenance of facilities requires a ROW Permit, issued by the Public Works Department.  To apply for a permit, complete the ROW Permit form and bring to City Hall.

Animal Control

The city manages dead animal removal for carcasses in the city right-of-way only.  Dead animal removal on private property is the property owner’s responsibility.

For health-related animal services, the city contracts with Fulton County.  Please call Chattahoochee Hills Police (770) 463-8881 or 911 after hours for animal related issues, such as dogcatcher, rabies/disease concerns and animal bites.
