THE CHATTAHOOCHEE HILLS PARKS COMMISSION
Invites You to Join Us for Third Sunday Strolls in Cochran Mill Park
Come ramble in the woods with us and learn about nature, too!
 
September 15: Take a Sedimental Journey -- Hike with us along the banks of Bear Creek and Little Bear Creek, 
learning about how the water flows and shapes the land.
October 20: Alien Invasion! -- Come learn about all the invasive species that have taken up 
residence in our park, from kudzu to wisteria.
November 17: The Forest for the Trees -- Come along with us and learn how to identify the trees that inhabit our park.
 
 Walks are 2-5 pm, rain or shine, and open to everyone, from grade school age children to community elders.
Walks will begin at the Picnic Pavilion next to the main parking area. 
(Children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
  
Plan Your Visit. We Suggest Bringing Water, Insect Repellent, Sun Screen And EPI Pen (If You Have Severe Allergies).

The Chattahoochee Hills Department of Parks and Recreation is working toward providing all residents and visitors with high quality parks, facilities and recreational opportunities.  Citizen’s lives are enhanced by community use of parks that are safe, affordable and enriching. Working with the community, it is our goal to improve, preserve, protect and maintain the City’s parks and greenspaces.

Parking Fees and Parking Passes

The City Council of Chattahoochee Hills has approved a parking fee for Cochran Mill Park and Hutcheson Ferry Park starting May 1, 2013.  Funds collected will be used to improve and enhance all parks within the city limits.  All city residents qualify for free parking passes and non-residents may purchase low-cost annual passes.  More information and the application are available here

Rico Park & Athletic Field

Rico Park is located on the west side of Rico Rd, south of the intersection with Campbellton-Redwine Rd.  The ball field at Rico Park is the site of the city’s youth sports activities.

The athletic field is open for free play during park hours and may also be reserved for private or youth association events.

Cochran Mill Park

Cochran Mill Park, the city’s largest park, is located on on the west side of Cochran Mill Rd, between South Fulton Parkway and Rivertown Road.

Hutcheson Ferry Park

Hutcheson Ferry Park is located on the south side of Hutcheson Ferry Rd, south of the intersection with Gravel Rd.

Campbellton Park is an 18 acre passive park located on the north end of the City bordering the Chattahoochee River and is home to the Historic Beavers' House.
