Poll Workers Needed for Upcoming Municipal Election

The City of Chattahoochee Hills is looking for civic-minded individuals who wish to serve the community and learn more about the election process.  This trusted position is ideal for anyone who would like to get a firsthand look at how our system works and provide neighbors their opportunity to vote.

What are the qualifications?
  • Must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of Fulton County, 16 years of age or older, and must be able to read, write, and speak the English language, and must not have any felony convictions.
  • Shall not be a nominee for public office or candidate or close relative of a candidate
  • Shall not hold public office, other than a political party office
Time and Compensation
  • All poll workers will be required to report to the polling location at 6:00 a.m. on election day, prior to the polls opening at 7:00 a.m.  Although polls close at 7:00 p.m., poll workers must stay until the ballots have been counted and the election materials are packed away.
  • Poll workers are compensated for their services.  The pay for Chattahoochee Hills poll workers is $100 for the election day.
Training
  • Poll workers will be required to attend a training class.  Upon completion of training, you will receive a certificate stating that you are eligible to work in the upcoming general election.  All poll workers take an oath on election day.
